The Centraal Museum administers the largest collection of Rietveld designs in the world, including the Rietveld Schröder House and the two dwellings on the Erasmuslaan. Due to this unique collection, the museum has developed into the finest international information centre on Rietveld and his work. The collection continues to grow through donations, long-term loans and purchases. In the Centraal Museum the highpoints of Rietveld's oeuvre form part of the permanent display. These items include the red blue chair, the hobble cart, the tubular lamp and the zigzag chair. Lesser work by Rietveld can also be seen: scale models, sketches and experimental designs that were never produced, such as the gas pipe chair, the rattan armchair and the aluminium armchair.
